Guy Franklin joined WRc in 1997 and is a specialist in the effects of construction materials on drinking water quality. He has carried out research on water treatment processes, the safety of chemicals in the aquatic environment and the problems of construction material contamination of drinking water. He has worked on projects for the UK Drinking Water Inspectorate, Environment Agency, Health and Safety Executive, UKWIR and many commercial clients.

Guy is also Managing Director of the BuildCert Product Certification company and a member of the WRAS Management Committee.
