About Us

Approval and Certification

Why Certification?

Access to clean water supplies is considered to be a basic human right. Local, national and international regulations protect water supplies from contamination, waste, undue consumption and misuse, they also control use of water by accurate metering. WRc-NSF can work with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure that they meet all the obligations placed on them by these regulations.

Manufacturers and suppliers of water fittings need to develop and market their products with an understanding of their customers’ requirements, with regard to local regulations and product approvals.

Why WRc-NSF?

WRc-NSF is the largest purpose built test laboratory for water fittings and materials in the UK, with over 25 years experience of testing for a variety of Certification and Approval organisations.

From their laboratories in South Wales, WRc-NSF carries out testing against a range of industry, national and international standards for the assessment of mechanical and hygienic properties of products serving the needs of manufacturers and suppliers worldwide.

WRc-NSF exists to help manufacturers gain the appropriate approvals for their markets.

WRc-NSF is a recognised test laboratory for many approval schemes. WRc-NSF also maintains close links with other certification and testing laboratories to assist manufacturers and suppliers with their testing and approval needs.

Test reports and results from WRc-NSF test laboratories are accepted by a wide range of certification and approval bodies across the world.
