Ensuring Water Systems Perform Correctly and Comply with RegulationsOwners, specifiers, designers, M&E consultants, manufacturers, builders (offsite and onsite), and installers of water systems need to be certain that they meet required expectations of performance and that they comply with relevant regulations. We provide advice and practical support on both. Performance
Specifiers require ever more exacting performance from the systems they commission (e.g. the current demands for water efficiency). However, for architects, designers, M&E consultants and offsite manufacturers, performance of proposed systems cannot always be guaranteed at the design stage, particularly when fittings and components are to be obtained from different sources. We are frequently called in, post-installation, to resolve performance issues (e.g. water quality, failure of a joint fitting, unacceptably poor lavatory flushing or insufficient system pressure) that could have been avoided at the design stage. We can either review theoretical performance for you or practically test performance of a mock-up at our test lab or in the field, and save you problems and costs down the line. ComplianceChecking the compliance of your system with us before installation can both help you gain client acceptance at the tendering stage and/or avoid issues arising at the inspection stage post-installation. We can advise on compliance with both Water Regulations and the related Building Regulations. |
