European Approval Systems

National schemes to approve and certify products for use in contact with drinking water have evolved independently in European countries and consequently differ in many ways.

Aimed at helping manufacturers and suppliers apply for product approvals, WRc-NSF has prepared, on behalf of the UK Drinking Water Inspectorate, an inventory of the different schemes in EU, EFTA and new accession countries.

This revised edition now includes a section on the development of the European Acceptance Scheme (EAS).
