| WRc-NSF is a nominated certifying body and
nominated training provider in the use of In Situ Resin Lining of
Water mains.
Using fully trained and
highly experienced staff from WRc-NSF Evaluation and Testing Centre in Gwent
the company offers a full range of services in support of the Operational
Requirements (OR) and Code of Practice (CoP) In Situ Resin Lining of
Water Mains (2005)
Training and Certification
Training of contractor and utility personnel who
are involved in water main lining with resin materials forms part of the
regulatory requirements specified by the OR.
WRc-NSF provides training
and certification in the use of resin materials for all staff involved with
water main lining and this will include the Site Agent, Foreman/Ganger, Rig
Operator, Application Head Operator, Accredited Fitter and Utility
Representative.
The courses are in two parts:
Part 1: Theory &
Understanding of Resin Lining
Training covers the
requirements of the OR and associated information that is deemed necessary
to ensure personnel are fully conversant with the requirement of water main
lining. This includes additional issues encompassed in the individual
utility contract documents, Health and Safety and the requirements of ISO
9000.
Part 2: Practical Assessments
A site based assessment of
each delegate to ensure full understanding and implementation of the
requirements of the OR and CoP to allow them to be fully involved in the
execution or supervision of site lining operations.
