DWI and Regulation 31 Changes

The DWI have disbanded the Committee on Products and Processes for use in Public water Supply (the CPP). The CPP was responsible for advising the Secretary of State on the suitability of products and processes for approval under Regulation 31 of the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2000.

Under the changed arrangements recommendations will be made by staff at the DWI will assistance of experts. New Advice Sheets and Protocols have been published on the DWI website to assist applicants.

These changes will not effect the status of already approved products, as the products will still be approved by the Secretary of State as before.

Information on WRc-NSF's services to manufacturers who wish to apply for approval under Regulation 31.
