WRc-NSF is celebrating the first anniversary of the EPDWA Installers Training  Course.

The course started after a conversation between Hans Krohn of the EPDWA and Guy Franklin of WRc-NSF. Both wanted to ensure that water coolers installed by EPDWA Members were fitted in accordance with UK Regulations and Good Practice. After a few further meetings WRc-NSF was able to develop a one day training package for installers employed by EPDWA Members that covers the essential information needed to insure a clean, safe and competent water cooler installation.

The course now ensures that all water coolers installed by EPDWA Members are professionally installed, thus avoiding future problems with the installation and checking that conversations around the Water Cooler in many offices are not about the Water Cooler.

The next step is to have the course approved by the Water Industry Approved Plumber Scheme as a Sector Approval, something which should be completed in January.
