AS/NZS 4020 consists of six separate tests:

• Odour and flavour of water in contact with the material
• Appearance of water in contact with the material
• Mutagenic activity of water in contact with the material
• Growth of aquatic micro-organisms on the material
• Cytotoxicity
• Extraction of metals.

WRc-NSF has UKAS accreditation for the AS/NZS4020 and test reports from WRc-NSF are accepted by SAI Global.

Comprehensive Test Facilities

Specialist facilities to prepare samples for site-applied products are available. We can test a whole range of materials and products including the requirements for "in-product" testing.

Regular Program of Testing

Some of the AS/NZS 4020 tests can take up to eight weeks to complete, so it is important that the tests on your products are started as soon as possible. We have a regular programme of testing, so you can rely on our delivery date for receiving your results.

Advice on the Testing of Your Product

WRc-NSF can carry out preliminary tests to 'screen' new products before proceeding with AS/NZS 4020 testing. We can also advise on cost effective strategies and on gaining other approvals, in Australia, the UK and other countries.
