About Us

Tap and Shower Testing

Tapware is the most visible of all plumbing equipment so the requirements for mechanical durability and aesthetic longevity are of the utmost importance to maintain customer confidence.

WRc-NSF has a vast array of apparatus and knowledge of testing both high and low pressure tapware for all applications.

Mechanical Tests

Key to any tap is the mechanical quality of the product, WRc-NSF can carry out testing of the mechanical operation include headworks and swivel endurance, leakages, load, torque, pressure and dimensional testing

Thermostatic Tests

Issues regarding hot water safety have risen over the past few years. WRc-NSF has been at the forefront of developing performance tests for user comfort and hot water safety against scalding for valves used in domestic and health care premises.

WRc-NSF carries out performance testing on both safety and comfort thermostatic mixing valves for temperature stability under a wide range of inlet temperature, flow and pressure conditions to ensure user comfort and safety.

Water Conservation Tests

Water conservation is increasingly important to regulators with concern over limited water resources and global warming. WRc-NSF carries out tests to assess the water usage, including flow rate and operational tests, to ensure water efficiency of terminal fitting.

Shower Equipment Tests

Mechanical tests on bath shower mixer diverter valves, shower head spray patterns and shower hose and hand spray durability.

Aesthetic Tests

Testing of coatings and finishes for corrosion resistance and assessment of markings.

Material Tests

Tests on the potential for water contact materials to cause toxic, aesthetic or microbiological water quality problems.

Testing for Certification and Approval
