The following steps are required to gain WRAS approval for a product for use in contact with drinking water:
| 1. | WRAS notifies that an Audit is due |
| 2. | Applicant applies to the WRAS |
| 3. | Scientific Advisor at WRAS advises which tests are required |
| 4. | Applicant contacts WRc-NSF Ltd and sends a copy of the letter from Scientific Advisory |
| 5. | Applicant completes application form |
| 6. | WRc-NSF carries out tests and prepares Test Report |
| 7. | WRc-NSF sends test report to Scientific Advisor at WRAS and customer directly |
| 8. | If the product has passed the audit testing WRAS continues to lists the material or product in the Water Fitting and Materials Directory (WFMD) |
